304 Vacuum Melt Stainless Steel Flat Wire for Medical Industry

In the medical industry, flat wire is used for a variety of cardiovascular and diagnostic applications. At Micro-Tek Corp., we manufacture these high-tensile custom wires to tight dimensional tolerances using premium alloys that feature uniform mechanical properties.
For this product, our customer specified 304 vacuum melt stainless steel wire, due to its physical and electrical properties as well as its chemical composition. Our ability to manufacture to extremely precise dimensions is exhibited in this project. For this application, the tolerances were ±0.0015" for the width and ±0.0005" for the thickness. Dimensions and tolerances were verified with dimensional inspection throughout manufacturing. In addition, comprehensive testing was also performed to verify tensile strength and elongation. Our customer's specifications also requested specific winding tensions and lengths per bobbin during manufacture. Also, bobbins are color coded per size at our customer’s request.
At Micro-Tek Corp., we have the capability to manufacture over 4 million feet per month, and we have been doing so since 1998.
